Many women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome or PCOS, are using nourishing herbal infusions to relieve the symptoms of PCOS. Many herbs throughout history have been used by traditional cultures to heal and tone the reproductive system of women.

Herbs, especially brewed as nourishing herbal infusions, provide essential calcium and other minerals that women need. Along with a traditional diet, like a high protein/low carb diet, these herbs can nourish the reproductive system and restore health. These herbs are rich in calcium, magnesium and other minerals and vitamins that are easy for the body to assimilate and absorb. Herbal infusions, if taken daily, are better than a synthetic multi-vitamin that is hard for the body to absorb.

Drink a quart or more daily of an herbal infusion over a time span of at least one month or more. Good herbs for the reproductive system are red raspberry leaf, red clover blossoms, nettle leaf, oatstraw and comfrey leaf.

Favorite combinations women like:

- Red raspberry leaf with red clover blossoms.
- Nettle leaf, comfrey leaf and oatstraw blend.
- A blend of 2/3 part of red raspberry leaf and 1/3 part combination of rose petals and hibiscus. This can cover some bitterness that red raspberry tends to have.

To make your infusion, put 1 oz. by weight of the herb or herbs in a wide mouth canning jar. Cover with boiling water. Stir to make sure all the leaves are soaked and cap with a lid. Let your herbal infusion set for 3-4 hours on the counter. When ready, stir in a bit of honey if needed and drink warm or iced.
